543 (and snapshots of the various security branches) are supported
544 using the &man.freebsd-update.8; utility. The binary upgrade
545 procedure will update unmodified userland utilities, as well
546 as an unmodified <filename>GENERIC</filename> kernel,
547 distributed as a part of an official &os; release. The
548 &man.freebsd-update.8; utility requires that the host being
549 upgraded have Internet connectivity.</para>
