fix the docs, this was always wrong...  In some cases, DISTDIR is set
automatically by tools via /etc/make.conf, so remind people (me) where
to find where it's set..

It would be nice for someone to document what DISTDIR is better than:
where the file for a distribution gets installed
Makefile.inc1 diff | blob | history
