  47 terminates an active spooling daemon on the local host immediately and
  48 then disables printing (preventing new daemons from being started by
  49 .IR lpr ).
  50 This is normally used to forcibly restart a hung line printer daemon
  51 (i.e., \fIlpq\fP reports that there is a daemon present but nothing is
  52 happening).  It does not remove any jobs from the queue
  53 (use the \fIlprm\fP command instead).

  55 enables printing and requests \fIlpd\fP to start printing jobs.
